A Brief Introduction

Paula Gillen is a photo editor/researcher,
photo consultant and designer.
 
As a photo editor she can help you organize,
and edit your images for portfolio, websites,
printed pieces, and exhibition. Her background
is in fine art, photography and journalism.
 
As a designer she can help you design a book,
catalog or magazine. She can assist you in self publishing
a photo book or magazine.
 
Paula has 20­­ years of experience in NYC working as a
Photo Editor and Researcher for highly regarded
cultural publications, consumer magazines and books.
She has the proven ability to locate and illustrate text
with innovative photography. She has located
and licensed images for web and print,
and she has extensive knowledge of image sources,
photographers, and understands licensing & copyright issues.
 
Education
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, MFA in photography.
Maryland Institute, College of Art, BFA, Fine Art and Photography.
Fulbright Scholarship to Malaysia in 1987.
